Requests for repeat prescriptions can be handed over the counter, ordered by email, online via your Patient Online login or posted to the surgery. Medications and allergies can also be viewed on Patient Online. Please ask at Dispensary or Reception if you need a Login and Password for online access.
From MONDAY 30th APRIL until possibly JUNE, access to online services has ceased whilst we change our clinical system to that used by The Phoenix surgery, EMIS Web.
As at 24th May, we are still unable to provide current online patients with a new username and login to use on the new online system via a new web address.
Those wanting online access can ask at Reception or the Dispensary for a form to apply for online access (identity & address confirmation required for security reasons).
Repeat prescriptions are only available without you seeing your doctor if they have been previously authorised by a doctor. If you are on long-term medication, please order your next repeat with plenty of time to spare. Authorisation for repeat medication may last up to one year only. You will be informed on your computer slip, or by your regular chemist, if the authorisation for your medication is about to expire. If so, you will need to see your doctor before your next prescription can be issued.
Please note we require at least 72 hours' (3 days) notice for repeat prescriptions.
Obtaining Your Medication
We are very fortunate in having two dispensing chemists situated within easy reach of the practice. The Cohens Pharmacy is situated within the surgery itself. Lloyd’s Pharmacy is situated a few doors along Long Street.
We are able to offer a direct dispensing service to patients from many of the outlying villages.
As from Thurs 24th May 2018, the dispensary is open from 9am to 5pm and is closed from 12:30-2pm for lunch.
The dispensary no longer accepts telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.
Electronic Prescribing is now availble for many scripts, where the request for items is sent directly to your nominated pharmacy rather than you being given a paper script each time. Your doctor and the pharmacists at Cohens and Lloyds will explain the change to you. Dispensing patients will not be affected.
